Full Body Warmup For Speed Training (Increase Your Speed)

In today’s video, I show you the 4 drills that will activate your full body (upper, core and lower body) that will help you become more athletic, have better balance, coordination, and overall increase your speed and explosiveness on the field or court. Doing these exercises before your Speed Training Workout will also help decrease your risk of injury while working out.

This warmup is not only for high school athletes, but it is also for all ages 5 years old and older!

Here are the 4 exercises broken down:

Burpee To Tuck Jump – 10 Reps

How To Perform: You will start off standing up and then drop down touching your chest to the ground. Then you will get up to your feet and in a fluid motion jump in the air tucking your knees to your chest.

Burpee To Broad Jump – 10 Reps

How To Perform: You will start off standing up and then drop down touching your chest to the ground. Then you will get up to your feet and in a fluid motion and do a broad jump as far as you can. It is key to not plant your feet once you get up from the ground before the broad jump.

Burpee To Tuck Jump Single-Leg Land – 10 Reps (each leg)

How To Perform: You will start off standing up and then drop down touching your chest to the ground. Then you will get up to your feet and in a fluid motion jump in the air tucking your knees to your chest. On the way down you will make sure to lang on one leg and stick the landing for 2-3 seconds then place your other leg on the ground.

This will be a total of 40 reps, then you will start your speed training workout for the day. If you are a Parent, Coach or Athlete who wants the exact sets, reps and exercises to become more explosive, faster, or more agile be sure to check out The Twice The Speed Training System HERE!
